AVAILABLE ON MOBILES, TABLETS, LAPTOPS & DESKTOPS, each module can stand alone or work together as an integrated suite, and data can be shared seamlessly into the hospital electronic health record (EHR). This toolset for surgical facilities rapidly achieves cost savings through crowdsourced surgeon and facility best practices with granular reporting that provides detailed comparisons of procedures and costs. Hospitals and ASCs can utilize forward looking inventory, anticipating needs for future cases. Perioperative personnel, including surgeons, can see the cost of items and the specific cost of procedures; this facilitates substitution of lower cost items where possible.

Surgical Scheduling

Surgical Scheduling begins in the physician office and templates surgeon preferences to reduce data entry. The hospital can view the calendar and assign cases to ORs in the most resource efficient manner. Team leader managed whiteboards keep the surgical day and rooms organized and are customizable for presentation to staff, and patients and their families. Representatives, first assistants, and other perioperative personnel receive and respond to auto notifications, and are presented with a cross-facility case calendar that is synchronized with changes in the surgical case schedule.

Pick Sheets

Pick Sheets indicate to the staff not only what should be pulled but also what should be opened. Cost is transparent and higher-priced items are highlighted to call attention to high ticket items. This completely digitized solution eliminates the need for “paper” picking, provides a complete audit trail, and notifies inventory management if items are missing for a scheduled case. Through data analytics, DocOpC reporting indicates items that are consistently pulled but not utilized in the surgical cases, leading to more efficient pick sheets.

Procedure Cards

Procedure Cards, created within minutes from our library of templates and kept current “on the fly” within the OR, are industry-first, digital index cards so specific that a surgical tech with no experience in a procedure or with a particular surgeon, can set up a room from scratch, without assistance, error or omission. Surgeons and facilities can share cards across locations as easily as emailing a PDF.

Charge Capture for Surgical Supplies & Time

DocOpC optionally integrates its Surgical Supply Capture (SSC) seamlessly into a clinic’s inventory control. Surgical Supply Capture in conjunction with Time Charge Capture (TCC) offers the ability for master bill creation and predictive ordering. SSC and TCC correlate to the pick sheets for consistency and ease. Items in the “open” category of the pick sheet are pre-populated in the SSC. DocOpC SSC tracks and explains items that are opened but not used. Pick sheets can be updated “on the fly” while running SSC from the OR.
